car inspection before long journey
1.Checking Fluid Levels
Check the engine oil level (engine off) the engine oil level dip stick is usually indicated by a yellow handle. There are two level indicator marks, upper level and lower level. The distance in between these marks represent a quart, if the oil is in between the marks the level is ok. If the oil level is below the lower level mark or not on the dip stick at all engine oil must be added until between the inductor lines.
2.Checking Tire Wear Condition
Car tires are made out of flexible rubber which is incorporated with wire and fabric. The tires of an automobile support the braking, load, traction, and steering. Tires also absorb shock caused by bumps in the road and help provide a smooth ride to the passengers. Tires need to maintained at a prescribed air pressure and rotated at scheduled intervals. Most vehicle tire pressure recommendations are located on a sticker in the driver's door jam or on the side wall of the tire.
3.Checking Engine Coolant Hoses
Engine coolant is used to transfer heat from the engine to the radiator, if a coolant leak is present the engine will eventually overheat. Inspect the engine coolant level in the coolant reservoir tank, coolant level should be between the hot and cold marks. Always check the coolant level when the engine is cold, preferably over night. If the coolant level is not between the reservoir marks the cooling system may have a leak.
4.Checking Horn, Headlight and External Lighting Systems
The lights in and around your vehicle are not only a convenience they are a safety precaution. All lights on your vehicle should be working at all times, if fact it's against the law for any exterior lights on your car not to be working. If it was designed by the manufacturer to work on your vehicle it must work at all times. Make it a regular check for your vehicle to assure the proper operation for your lights.
5.Replace Wiper Blades
Have a new wiper blades to ensure proper windshield vision and control of the car.

Long Journey With Your Child
1.Never leave a child alone in the car, even if it’s just to run a quick errand.
2.Plan to travel with your child’s car safety seat. Do not rent a car safety seat as you will have little or no knowledge of its’ past crash history.
3.Before hitting the road, secure all loose items in the car that may become projectiles during a sudden stop or crash.
4.Curious kids love to touch anything they can get their hands on. Engage child safety locks while the vehicle is in motion.
5.Driving and childcare cannot occur at the same time. Should your baby need attention pull over and stop the car first, then care for your baby.

Watermelon And Nutrition
History
(From WIKI)
Watermelon is thought to have originated in southern Africa, where it is found growing wild, because it reaches maximum genetic diversity there, resulting in sweet, bland and bitter forms.
Some foods are fun to eat, and watermelon is definitely one of them.
Nutrition
Watermelons are an excellent source of several vitamins: vitamin A, which helps maintain eye health and is an antioxidant; vitamin C, which helps strengthen immunity, heal wounds, prevent cell damage, promote healthy teeth and gums; and vitamin B6, which helps brain function and helps convert protein to energy.
Tomatoes have been highly touted as a great source for lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that helps fight heart disease and several types of cancer — prostate cancer in particular. Watermelon, however, has the highest concentrations of lycopene of any fresh fruit or vegetable.
It is a great source of potassium, which helps muscle and nerve function, helps maintain the body’s proper electrolyte and acid-base balance, and helps lower the risk of high blood pressure.
Watermelon also contains the amino acids citrulline and arginine, which can help maintain arteries, blood flow and overall cardiovascular function.

Love Your Familiy And Protect It From "Silent Killer"
Carbon monoxide as known as Silent Killer. Carbon monoxide alarms alert families to the presence of carbon monoxide - a colorless, odorless, and potentially deadly gas - in the home. It is easy to mistake the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning for other illnesses, like the flu.
Having a working carbon monoxide alarm may be the only way families become aware of a carbon monoxide exposure before it is too late. However, we know that many families do not have these critical safety devices in their homes
A CO alarm costs as little as RM50 and proper installation of these devices may prevent half of such associated deaths from occurring.

A Few Tips For Driving In The Rain

A Few Tips For Driving In The Rain
Rain is blamed for thousands of accidents yearly. When the road is wet, the film of the water on the asphalt causes tires to lose traction.
1.Allow for more travel time.
You should plan to drive at a slower pace than normal when the roads are wet. Keep in mind that traffic is likely to be moving slower as well. There's also the possibility that your preplanned route may be flooded or jammed.
2.Brake earlier and with less force
Not only does this increase the stopping distance between you and the car in front of you, it also lets the driver behind you know that you're slowing down.
3.Don't use cruise control.
Cruise control also allows drivers to be less vigilant and to take their foot away from the pedals — not a great idea when reaction time is so important.
4.Don't attempt to cross running water
5.Turn on your headlights
If your car is equipped with foglights, you may find it helpful to turn these on, as they throw a little extra light on the road while making your car easier to see.
6.Pull over and wait it out.
If it's raining so hard that you can't see the road or the car in front of you.
7.Track the car ahead of you
Let the car ahead pave a clear path, so to speak, through the water.
8.Give a truck or bus extra distance.
Their extra-large tires can create enough spray to block your vision completely.
9.Don't brake suddenly or turn the wheel
You might spin into a skid.

Fish oil
(From Wiki)
Fish oil is oil derived from the tissues of oily fish. It is recommended for a healthy diet because it contains the omega-3 fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), precursors to eicosanoids that reduce inflammation throughout the body. Fish do not actually produce omega-3 fatty acids, but instead accumulate them from either consuming microalgae that produce these fatty acids, as is the case with fish like herring and sardines, or, as is the case with fatty predatory fish, by eating prey fish that have accumulated omega-3 fatty acids from microalgae.
During Pregnancy
Health benefits for mom include:
Less chance of developing pre-eclampsia
Protection against brain loss during pregnancy
Less chance of pre-term labor and cesarean
Much lower risk of postpartum depression
Greatly reduced incidence of breast cancer
Benefits for baby are:
A better brain with higher intelligence
Good nervous system development
Better eyesight from retina formation
Fewer behavioral problems after birth
Better sleep patterns for a new born

Kumho History
In September 1960 we established Samyang Tire, the predecessor of today's Kumho Tire. In those days, the domestic automobile industry was at a primitive stage, and so were auto parts industries like the tire industry. We made about 20 tires a day, depending on manual labor because of our backward technology and shortage of facilities. However, from the latter half of the '60s, we acquired the KS Mark and managed to ship to East Asia for the first time. This was our starting point.
Sep. 1960 Samyang Tire Co., Ltd., founded in Yang-dong, Kwangju City.
Jan. 1961 First tire, an average of 20 produced per day.
Apr. 1963 Compact passenger car tire (560~13), the first manufactured in Korea.
Jun. 1964 Tube developed.
Oct. 1965 Started shipping to East Asia (200 tires to Thailand amounting to $7,700).
Mar. 1966 DOT (US Department of Transportation) Mark acquired.
Jan. 1969 Snow tire developed
OK..let's hear from Kumho Tyres about their tyre Kumho ECSTA KH11 ( 205/45r16 88H)
They said :
The ECSTA KH-11 tire combines design technology with racing success to deliver superb handling without sacrificing ride comfort and low noise in spring, summer and fall.
High technology silica and carbon tread compound for breathtaking grip in wet and dry conditions
Three wide circumferential groove channel water from under the tread for outstanding hydroplaning resistance.
Lateral grooves efficiently evacuate water and balance tread stiffness for improved wet traction and a smooth ride.
Large outside tread blocks provide rigidity for increased cornering performance.
Solid center rib provides a constant contact surface for excellent high speed stability, reduced noise levels, and better response.
Jointless Cap and wide belt construction maintains the optimum tire shape at high speed improving handling, wear, and high speed capability.
Optimized block shape reduces noise by altering the block size around the tire reducing noise.

Female Condom..???
What is a Female Condom?
The female condom helps protect partners from pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDS. It is the only female-controlled device offering this protection. A female condom is a thin, loose-fitting and flexible plastic tube worn inside the vagina. A soft ring at the closed end of the tube covers the cervix during intercourse and holds it inside the vagina. Another ring at the open end of the tube stays outside the vagina and partly covers the lip area. A female condom provides a barrier between partners to prevent sharing bodily fluids like semen, blood, or saliva. This helps ensure that sexually transmitted infections are not passed and pregnancy does not occur. Female condoms are 79-95% effective.
From cnn published post :
CNN) -- They've been called noisy, unwieldy and like a plastic bag.
Yet, major health campaigns in Washington, Chicago, Illinois, and New York City are promoting female condoms to curb the spread of HIV/AIDS.
Although the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved female condoms in 1993, they haven't exactly been embraced.
After a second version of the female condom was approved by the FDA in 2009, HIV/AIDS health campaigns began distributing them in major cities and offering training on how to use them at local salons and community centers.
The condoms are another tool to empower and protect women from sexually transmitted infections and pregnancy, health advocates say. But the question remains: Will women actually use them?
Aside from the mechanics, the products are hard to find and cost more than male condoms.
They're pretty much irrelevant, said Alexandra Katehakis, a certified sex therapist and clinical director of the Center for Healthy Sex in Los Angeles, California.
"It's too convoluted," Katehakis said. "The penis is external. It takes two seconds to put on a male condom. This could take minutes and women have to get into this contortionist act to put the condom on. It's not practical."
The newest version of female condoms called FC2 is cheaper and uses a non-latex material. The device looks like a long sheath with two soft rings at each end. One ring must be pushed with a finger into the vagina, much like a tampon. The other ring remains outside the body.
When tampons were first introduced, people cringed at the thought of insertion, but women eventually caught on, said Zoe Lehman, a support services coordinator at the Chicago Women's AIDS project.
"It's the same deal with female condoms - it's not complicated at all," she said. "People have the idea it's more complicated to use it because no one has shown them how to use it."
The device gives women some control in negotiating condom use, said HIV/AIDS advocates.
The reactions from female condom users have varied.
Casandra, a Fort Lauderdale, Florida, health advocate, tried the female condom several times, because she wanted to be able to answer questions about it. She asked that her last name not be used.
"It was a little strange to get it up there," said Casandra, who prefers the male condom. "In terms of inserting it, it was a little bit weird doing it in front of my partner. After it was in, it was OK."
San Francisco's health department has interest in the campaign too, according to the makers of the female condom, Female Health Co.
"There's nothing wrong with the male condom," said Mary Ann Leeper, senior strategic advisor at the company. "If you use it, fair enough. A lot of people -- male and female -- don't like it and have unprotected sex. What we say is it gives people options and empowers women to initiate a method if he doesn't use a male condom. It empowers her to take care of herself."
Having a female condom option increases the rate of protected sex, she said.

4 simple step basic skin care
Step 1
Face Cleanser
A cleanser is a facial care product that is used to remove make-up, dead skin cells, oil, dirt and other types of pollutants from the skin of the face. This helps to unclog pores and prevent skin conditions such as acne.
Step 2
Toner
After cleansing, the next step in a successful treatment for oily skin is to use an astringent. An astringent or toner, as it is commonly referred to, is an important part of the cleansing process. The purpose of an astringent is to contract, firm or tighten the skin, strengthen the skin, and all these factors lead to the reduction of oil secretions from the skin. In addition, toners lower the pH of the skin after cleansing and can be used to provide extra cleansing by removing excess oil form the surface of the skin.
Step 3
Moisturizer
Moisturizers prevent and treat dry skin, protect sensitive skin, improve skin tone and texture.
Step 4
Vitamin c
You probably know that vitamin C plays an essential role in boosting your immune system. In addition to fighting colds and flu, vitamin C also enhances the overall health of your skin.
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is extremely effective as an antioxidant, your natural defense against free radicals, which are unstable molecules that age the skin, resulting from environmental pollutants, smoking, or excess sun exposure. Vitamin C neutralizes volatile reactions caused by free radicals that damage skin.
Another big plus for vitamin C: it is a critical component for the production of collagen, an essential skin protein. If collagen is not produced, your skin will sag and appear dull.vitamin C can help you feel better, reduce wrinkles, and improve your overall skin quality.

7. In the winter months slightly increase your sea salt and oil intake.
8. Include sea vegetables and other ocean foods (sea salt, wild caught fish) in your diet.
9. Make sure to rest and get plenty of sleep.
10. Avoid overeating or eating late at night.
11. Have a daily balance of protein and carbohydrates
12. Eat a mineral rich diet by including sea vegetables and micro-algae.
Note :- Micro-algae: spirulina, chlorella.
Older Lesbians Just Couldn't Find A Man?..Elisabeth Hasselbeck
Like everyone else who has seen this video and commented on it, I am completely floored that Elisabeth Hasselbeck is allowed on national television. Although she is certainly not afraid of spouting controversial (and often just plain crazy) opinions on topics as rich and varied as abortion, the morning-after pill, stalking, and Erin Andrews' choice of dress, her latest insight into lesbianism has (rightfully) sparked much internet outrage.
As the ladies of The View speculated on the rise of "late-blooming lesbians" (thank you, Whoopi), Elisabeth Hasselbeck put in her two cents:
"I’ll tell you what’s happening, it’s that older men are going for younger women, leaving the women with NO ONE."
Joy Behar responded forcefully to Hasselbeck's logic, which does seem to strongly imply that being gay is a choice, saying, "Being gay is not just holding hands and walking through the tulips. I don't think you suddenly wake up one day and say, 'Oh, I wanted to do that.' You wanted to do it, but you were just trapped in a system that has just said, 'get married.'"
Hasselbeck then tried to back down, saying that perhaps said older women simply wanted companionship, but not a sexual relationship. Which is of course absurd, and plays off two damaging stereotypes about women - that we are not as sexually desirous as men, and that we are not independent. And of course, apart from being sexist, it's homophobic.
As usual, I find The View to be an inane show (and this conversation did not bode well to begin with), but I really do question why we continue to pay attention to people like this. And of course, by writing this post, I'm helping to fan the flames, but it frustrates me endlessly that anyone takes her seriously, or that this kind of homophobia is tolerated at all.
